So grateful to have just caught up on reading your blogs... Thanks so much for allowing us to experience the culture there through you.... Have an incredible time as your trip winds down... and safe trip home!!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152326172845744522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618248278947063472.post-6935145851877353252011-01-27T13:06:26.158-06:002011-01-27T13:06:26.158-06:00Miss Rebekah, I have so enjoyed seeing how you hav...Miss Rebekah, I have so enjoyed seeing how you have been stretched and been able to see another perspective of life. You've also been willing to share your gifts and perspectives with others. What a wonderful treat! I remember hearing a woman from Africa address the world congress on families about outside help coming into African Countries. She presented a very strong view of how, while they appreciate the help, they don't want to loose their morals, traditions and uniqueness to the rest of the world. It seems Africa or parts of it are needing help and trying find out what that will mean, what the real cost will be and how that will work with who they are and want to be as nations. Thank you for sharing yourself with them and for sharing what you are learning with us.dixie zittlowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11193765263526175993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618248278947063472.post-38142397348563701742011-01-27T10:32:18.705-06:002011-01-27T10:32:18.705-06:00What an amazing time this trip has been for you, B...What an amazing time this trip has been for you, Becki!! Thanks for again helping us to "see" the people (and goats!)that are with you there. Your time there might be short, but your efforts and compassion are invaluable. Who would have known (besides me, because I can see through the high heeled shoes, sparkling eyeshadow and highlights) that you do love children.
And, you are just as stubborn as a goat, so I am sure you and your four-legged friends got along just fine. As a matter of fact, I seem to remember you don't like your personal space invaded either. Can you imagine 10 strangers coming up and huddling for a picture with you? Maybe this experience will shrink that space you are used to and replace it with a genuine need to be needed, loved, hugged, cuddled, and (dare I say) embrace the magic of sharing a plate of food.
You are dearly missed here, but I have a feeling you will be even more missed there... if that is even possible.
I hope you are prepared, as you take those that few strolls through town, to start taking over the rest of the world.
www.thinkworld.com - do it.
As they say in Swahili "Nyayo Mei yako katika mchanga kukumbukwa kwa muda mrefu baada ya kumpiga upepo nao mbali."
I think I should write bumper stickers.
Love you and I can't wait to share a plate of brownies with you.Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16998228456700669034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3618248278947063472.post-6331981827942684512011-01-27T09:57:59.679-06:002011-01-27T09:57:59.679-06:00Just a big smile on my face...not much more needs ...Just a big smile on my face...not much more needs to be said.
